Advertising Terms and Conditions 1. Payments for Advertising are due 15 days prior to publication. 2. Payments for advertising may be made with CHECK, VISA, MC, DISCOVER or American Express. 3. The term “publisher,” as used in this section, shall refer to Connection Magazine and its owners. 4. The CONTRACT locks your rate in. Advertising rates can change. If contract is not renewed, newest advertising rates will apply for future advertising. If your contract is renewed and does not expire, your advertising rates will be kept the same. 5. This CONTRACT will automatically renew itself if notice of cancellation is not given in writing before the 15th of the month prior to next publication. If contract is canceled on the 15th of the month prior to next publication or later, your ad will be published and you will be charged at your contract rate. The Contract will be renewed at the same discount rate (Open, 4 month, 8 month or 12 month). 6. The advertiser or The Connection Magazine may cancel this contract, at any time, by submitting written notification to the other party before the 15th of the month prior to next publication (between the 1st and 14th of prior month) . 7. If this agreement should be canceled early by advertiser, all Ads published under this agreement will be rebilled to the appropriate discount rate (Open, 4 month, 8 month or 12 month). For example, if a 12 month (20% discount) contract is canceled after 8 months, the discount will be adjusted to the 8 month contract rate (15% discount). The difference between the two advertising rates (20% - 15% = 5%) would then be added to the cost of each rebilled ad and all charges owed Connection Magazine after this rebilling will be due immediately. There is no penalty for cancelation, just the rebilling to the correct discount rate. 8. While under CONTRACT your ad will be published every issue without changes, unless the publisher is contacted before the 15th of the month prior to publication. 9. The publisher assumes no financial responsibility for typographical errors, omissions, misrepresentations in copy or the failure of an advertisement to be published. PLACEMENT REQUESTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED. Guaranteed placement requires an extra 15% or $25 charge. 10. Publisher’s liability of errors will not exceed cost of that portion of space occupied by said error and will be compensated by credit for future advertising in The Connection Magazine only. 11. Liability for errors on multiple insertions will not exceed first ad. It is the Advertisers responsibilty to check for errors on Ad. 12. Claims for adjustments must be made within seven days of publication. 13. Should the Publisher deem it necessary to consult legal counsel in the collection of a past due bill, then advertiser agrees to pay all costs (including filing fees) associated with such action. 14. Publisher reserves the right to revise or reject any ad deemed unsuitable for publication, for any reason. 15. Publisher also reserves the right to insert the words “paid advertisement” above and below any copy. 16. A monthly late charge ($15.00) will be applied to all accounts over 30 days late. 17. Advertising paid in advance for mulitple months will not be refunded in cash and will only be refunded as credit for future advertising. This credit is transferable, but not to current advertisers. 18. Advertisements are accepted upon the representation that advertiser and its agency have the right to publish the contents thereof. In consideration of such publication, advertiser and its agency agree to indemnify and hold publisher harmless against any expense or loss by reason of any claims arising out of publication. 19. Publisher is not liable for any delays in delivery and/or non-delivery in the event of an Act of God or any condition beyond the control of the publisher which affects production or delivery in any manner. 20. Publisher is not responsible for any Ads or materials sent to Connection Magazine. Sender must retain a useable copy of anything sent to Connection Magazine. 21. The Connection Magazine will accept copy, size or replacement changes prior to 5pm on the copy deadline date which is before the 15th of the month prior to next publication. Should the advertiser fail to give timely notice, The Connection Magazine has no obligation to make the changes and advertiser agrees to pay for any unchanged advertising. Should the advertiser fail to submit copy in a timely manner, The Connection Magazine may create copy for the advertiser as appropriate to meet this contractual commitment. 22. Print-Ready Ads are Ads that are ready, needing no size, graphic or text changes at all. A print-ready ad must be either a press resolution pdf with fonts embedded or a 300 dpi tiff or jpeg file that can be submitted an email attachment or by FTP. 23. Space reservations for print-ready Ads must be made prior to 5pm on the copy deadline date which is before the 15th of the month prior to next publication. Print-ready Ads should arrive prior to 5pm, before the 20th of the month prior to next publication. 24. Setup fees will apply for the production of any ad or for any changes that need to be done to a print-ready Ad. 25. You may change your Ad size and keep same rate discount any or every month. Ad price will vary according to Ad size. Changes must be submitted prior to the 15th of the month. Other benefits of Advertising include: up to one Rave Review a month, Ad also published in online PDF version of Connection Magazine. |
